P2P, peer to peer, a fantastic new technique and technolgoy to get video to thousands of viewers, simply and easy. You need to connect to a channel on a program, then it will start "buffering" , which means uploading/downloading untill the stream is good enough to watch. Below we will explain easily how it works. So far all programs are for Windows only, it isn't suitable yet for Mac OSX / Apple. Only Sopcast is available for Linux also.
How Does it work?
Links are sorted:
* Channelname
* Software (the required software for this channel link. On our software page you will find all the software. So when it says SOPCAST then you will need to download and install Sopcast. Then when you click the link it will load the specific channel and your event. You need to install the program ones.
Start with downloading the P2P programs
We hope you have got a better overview now of how it works. The Second most important step is to download the P2P programs.
Go to the Software page ; You will see first a General tip. We suggest you to install this as it makes channels run faster and better. See it as a speed tool. But no necessary
How to start a channel for an event
We recommend PPstream , TVAnts , Sopcast , PPMate and TVU. Then you can view most program, but just check the Match page; there you can see which channels are showing it and on which programs. You can easily see what to download to see a match.
Another usefull Tip
Don't use any download programs when watching. P2P depends on Upload and Download speed of all users watching. Shut down all processes that uses your internet speed. This will allow you to watch the match fast enough. Your upload is needed to get it running fine for other people. So follow these steps and you and other people are able to enjoy it without any problems .
